Warrington Jockey Wins Esteemed Award - 04-04-08
April 4 - Paul Hanagan, a Warrington born jockey was the recipient of a prominent horse racing award at The Lesters ceremony.
Horse racing fans gave him the thumbs up when polling opened for the Flat Ride of 2007.
The 27 year old who hails from Latchford makes his victory due to riding Fonthill Road to number 1 in the Paddypower.com Sprint Handicap last year October in York.
He rode Greenwich Meantime to victory last year too winning the Chester Cup. He raced on Flying Clarets this past weekend at the Kempton Racecourse where he was a winner once again, and the former Sir Thomas Boteler High School student will be hoping to impress again this weekend when he rides for the Yorkshire based Richard Fahey Stable.
Fahey is thinking about sending Flying Clarets out for the Salsabil Stakes in Dundalk. He said she is a wonderful horse and is continuously improving. It is entirely possible that Paul Hanagan will be riding her again during the upcoming flat season.
