Turffontein Betting Preview Saturday September 11 - 09-09-10

September 9 - Horse racing fans in Johannesburg, South Africa have a full card of racing on Saturday (September 11) at Turffontein Racecourse with nine races, comprising a variety of maiden plates and handicaps.

For your betting convenience and enjoyment, we have compiled the following Turffontein betting preview to make it easier for you to place your bets come race day. So sit back relax and take note of these runners:

Race 1 - Workriders Maiden Plate for fillies and mares over 1600m with a bend. Atonement has greatly improved in her last two outings, while Elegant Stride ran a corker last time out and Miss Uma is overdue a win.

Race 2 - Maiden Plate for fillies and mares over 1000m with a bend. Time Rolls On came third recently, and looks to have more. Bling Dancer is in fine fettle and should be near the front and Cyber Shot looks sharp.

Race 3 - Maiden Plate over 1600m with a bend. Altelekker almost won last time out and should be in the same top form. Pale Ale can be shaky, but is always improving, and Up Company could surprise everybody.

Race 4 - Maiden Plate for fillies and mares over 2600m with a bend. Weak field which is why Or Els should come up trumps. Flight Of Angels could rate if she has a good start and Finntastic could be The 'Wild Card.'

Race 5 - MR 87 Handicap for fillies and mares over 2600m with a bend. After her maiden win, Blue Baby Jean should rate here. Sheikitupbaby also has some form left in her and Millie should finish in the top three.

Race 6 - Graduation Plate over 1450m with a bend. Ozymandias won last time out and is still looks to be in good form. Tender Twilight dazzled last time out and could dominate, and Extremist could be up near the front.

Race 7 - MR 72 Handicap over 1600m with a bend. A bunch of recent winners here. Joyful won last time out as did Beach Club as did Classic Al, who won his maiden. With so much potential, should be an exciting race.

Race 8 - MR 90 Handicap over 1800m with a bend. Nuke will be well-backed considering he'll be trying for his hat-trick. The quick Ilsanpietro could be his biggest threat, as well as Potchefstroom, who is in top form.

Race 9 - MR 73 Handicap over 1800m with a bend. This should be a breeze for last time winner, Radiant Rock. However, don't discount?King's Destiny or Sun Emperor, both of whom are very capable over this distance.
