Top South African Runners Bound for Dubai - 11-02-08
November 2 - This week South African race horse shipping firm, BBR Bloodstock Shipping, confirmed that it had safely dispatched a sizeable group of top-rated thoroughbreds to Dubai in preparation for the prestigious 2009 Dubai Racing International Carnival in January.
Said director of BBR Bloodstock Shipping, Brian Roux, 'I am extremely happy to announce the safe loading and departure of a large consignment of horses for Dubai as part of the South African Dubai Racing Team - on behalf of trainers Mike De Kock and Herman Brown.'
Many South African horseracing experts expect the star-studded crop of thoroughbreds to fare very well in next year's Dubai International Racing Carnival, which is acknowledged to be one the most prestigious and lucrative racing events on Dubai's annual horseracing calendar.

Watch out for Russian Sage, purchased by the exceptionally shrewd Team Valor horseracing syndicate, run by Barry Irwin, who will aim for the $5 million Dubai Duty Free Handicap on Dubai World Cup night.
