Nicky Henderson Set To Win The Tingle Creek Chase
Author: Marc Weinberg
November 28 - Over the past fortnight, trainer Nicky Henderson has seen 19 of his last 49 runners victorious, for a staggering win percentage of 38.78%. UK jump racing punters are well aware of this fact as his runners are still returning a loss over that time period, but the fact remains that the yard is in sensational form.
The timing could not be better with the Sportingbet sponsored Tingle Creek Chase taking place this Saturday at Sandown racecourse, and Henderson set to be represented by Finian's Rainbow.
Henderson made headlines a week ago when he saddled seven winners on one day, November 21, in an accumulator that paid out a lot less than one might think as most of the horses were very heavy favourites and the longest price of the seven was 7/2!
Finian's Rainbow, therefore, seems generously priced in the ante-post market as one can freely obtain plenty of 11/4, and 3/1 if you dabble in exchanges.
The 8-year-old gelding is making his seasonal reappearance, having last raced in April when he stormed home at Aintree in a Grade 1 Novice chase (odds-on, naturally). He is the model of consistency with 7 wins from 10 runs, and is well worth a bet on Saturday.
Here is the latest complete betting for the Tingle Creek Chase:
