Michael Kinane
Michael Kinane was born on the 22nd of June 1959. Horse racing is in his blood; his father Tommy Kinane had great success as a National Hunt rider.

Over a period of two decades Kinane, who is seen to be one of the leaders of the sport of kings, has been a prolific winner of the Classic races of England, Ireland and France. He has won the 2000 Guineas 3 times, the Breeders Cup 3 times, the Epsom Derby twice, and the Belmont Stakes in America once. He has been crowned champion jockey of Ireland many times over.

Kinane is the only jockey in the world to ever win all of the following races: The English Derby, the Irish Derby, the Belmont Stakes, the Arc, the Japan Cup, the Breeders' Cup Turf, the Breeders' Cup Juvenile, and the Melbourne Cup. He will turn 50 next year, but shows no signs of slowing down.
