Jockey Profile |
Kieren Fallon |
Kieren Fallon was born in Ireland on the 22nd of February 1965 and has been crowned the British Champion Jockey 6 times (meaning he is rider of the most winning horses in Great Britain during a season, 6 times over).
Fallon has emerged victorious at the Epsom Derby 3 times and was the stable jockey for Aidan O'Brien until his latest career catastrophe when he tested positive for cocaine. He faces another long suspension, hot on the heels of his acquittal on race-fixing charges.
Fallon is a contentious character to say the least having been suspended when accused of race-fixing. He and his co-accused were found to be not guilty however and his suspension was lifted.

| In 2006 he was suspended by France Galop the French Racing authority for testing positive for a banned substance, the ban was for six months and he won his first race after the suspension on the 7th of June 2007 at Tipperary Racecourse. A mere six months later in December 2007 at Deauville it was revealed by the pesky French that he had tested positive again! Fallon is a gifted rider but obviously has some serious personal demons. An interesting piece of gossip is that he is not on speaking terms with his father. |
