Trainer Profile |
Jeremy Noseda |
Jeremy Noseda
was born on 17 September 1963 and is based in
Newmarket.
He worked for John Dunlop as an assistant trainer for 6 years in the
1980's and for John Gosden for 5 years after that also as an assistant.
It was whilst he was working as an assistant to John Gosden that he was
handpicked by Sheikh Mohammed who was in the process of setting up his
Godolphin operation.
Noseda became well known whilst he was with Godolphin and he had a huge
part in the training of champion horses such as Lammtarra, Balanchine
and Moonshell.
He left Godolphin and started training under his own moniker in 1996. He
was initially based in California, but moved back to England and to
where he is still based; at the Shelfleet Stables in Newmarket. |

In 1999 Wannabe Grand came second in the 1000 Guineas, and Kalypso Katie
was a runner-up in the 2000 Oaks. In 2004 Wilko won the Breeders' Cup and
in 2005 Proclamation was star of the stable when he won the Sussex
Stakes. Noseda's best season yet was in 2006 when he earned over 1.2m
pounds domestically.
2006 was also the season
that saw a long time dream of oseda's become reality. His dream of
winning a Classic race came true in May of that year when Araafa
performed magnificently to win the Irish 2000 Guineas. In the 2007
season he had more than 50 wins, 2 of which were Group 1 successes. |
