March 16 - The 2008 Cheltenham Festival was typical in that most betting favourites were rolled over and a lot of longshots defied the odds to win. On Day One of Cheltenham racing we picked three winners from four races. Katchit won at a large value price, plus we had Tidal Bay and An Accordion to cap off a fantastic opening day.

From the postponed Day Two card we found one winner in Albertas Bay from a very tricky batch of four races. But it was the final day of the Festival that saw our biggest winners starting with Whiteoak who cashed in at 20/1. The highlight of the Cheltenham meeting is always the Gold Cup and while most punters went for Kauto Star we advocated from the outset this season that Denman would be the superior horse on the day, and so it proved.
