Grey Rose Notches Third Win For Racehorse Syndicate
Author: Marc Weinberg
February 4 - Grey Rose was the first racehorse I ever purchased. She is a 4 year-old grey filly by Tiger Ridge out of Rose Gypsy. After buying her at the National Yearling Sale in 2009 she was syndicated, and the original RaceHorseOwner.com partnership was born. So there is definitely a sentimental connection to this game filly, and I was very happy to watch her record a third career win earlier today at Kenilworth race course, South Africa.
In addition to those 3 wins she has also placed 6 times and the manner in which she won today, beating some decent horses such as Margaret Court in a plate race, suggests that she might have a couple more wins left in the tank.
Grey Rose settled in mid-division early on, made her run down the inside, and kept finding more late to hold off a determined Lola Bud. 1400m is definitely her best distance, but all credit for the win goes to the trainer, Joey Ramsden, and jockey Sean Cormack.
Ramsden is having a tremendous season, and we at RaceHorseOwner are happy to have helped in our own small way as four of our horses have now won 5 races between them since August.
We are also proud to announce the purchase of our latest yearling, a filly by National Emblem out of The Eden Project called Speed Merchant. This filly was hand-picked for us by one of America's leading bloodstock agents, Alistair Roden, whose previous purchases have included Eclipse Award and Breeders Cup winners.
Shares in this filly are available for as little as $1,500. Please contact me directly at webmaster_at_racehorseowner.com for more information.
