Free Horse Racing Tips - Turffontein Pick 6 Carryover Sep 3
Author: Marc Weinberg
September 1 - EDITOR'S NOTE: There is no carryover for tomorrow's Pick 6 at Turffontein. The carryover from the Vaal meeting will be apportioned to some other race meeting, so please don't go tilting at windmills just yet. I would like to say that the writer of this piece has been let go, but that would leave me without myself, and physically that just would not do.
Vaal sand racing brings together the most mediocre horses this side of Flamingo Park, combines them with the dodgiest group of horsemen, and the result is a Pick Six carryover of R907,692. That spells massive value for Saturday's meeting at Turffontein.
Thanks to horses like Blue Concorde and National Danzig nearly every ticket at today's meeting was turned into confetti. I wouldn't take a Vaal sand Pick 6 unless there was already a massive carry over to aim at (see my attempt last week, which was unsuccessful - full disclosure). But this Saturday I will be going in with all guns a blazing as the Turffontein card looks a lot easier to handicap.
Free Pick 6 Tips
Bear in mind that one can take a % of the bet, from a manageable 1% for the small fry all the way up to the full value of the ticket, so we can load up in various legs and go for a big dividend. The net pool should be close to R3 million on the day so it is worth compiling a permutation in the region of 13,500. I am going to spend R1,485 for 11%, and you can do whatever you like with yours. I don't judge.
Race 4 - Leg 1:
ALL IN THE MIND looks ready to exit the Maiden ranks. But she is no sure thing here. SOUTH SQUARE has to be respected due to the trainer/jockey combo and should be ready to improve. I am also going to add the 3,6, and 7 to play the first leg petty wide. Watch the betting on the first timer 9, and if there is a move on the day you'll have to add it. I am writing this on Thursday and cannot predict the future, so make a note.
Race 5 - Leg 2:
There are plenty with chances and erring on the side of caution I am playing the field in this leg. 6 and 8 are coupled so you're putting in 9 horses here.
Race 6 - Leg 3:
We only need 3 horses in this leg. The two couplings are essential as ECHOHAWK/ EDDINGTON and TITANO/CARIBBEAN COAST provide all the value. We cannot leave out RADIANT ROCK, but the winner should be amongst those five.
Race 7 - Leg 4:
MR TOBIN is hard to beat at 1800m at this track and he runs well fresh. He looks likely to win. If he doesn't the race is very hard to handicap, and you have to add GENEVA, WILDEST DREAM, and CHEDWIN PARK. I am also adding FUN TO RUN as a long shot play.
Race 8 - Leg 5:
1,2,4,10 should suffice here. JET SKI and VENTURE both look like decent stayers in the making, and the rest are so mediocre that they are probably held by the two top weights.
Race 9 - Leg 6:
Competitive last race, and the more I look at this card the more likely a R100k + payout seems likely for the Pick 6, which means a 13,500 perm play is the right way to go. I am putting in 2,5,7,12,13. ACE OF HEARTS could well win this, and at that stage there won't be many tickets left with that number. Enjoy!
