October 9 - We've caught the quartet carry over pool the last two weeks running, and aim to make it three straight later today in the ninth race at Durbanville. South African punters can take advantage of our free horse racing tips, provided by one of the best handicappers around.

I should start by pointing out two scratchings so far, numbers 3 and 11 are out. My favoured method of taking these quartet wagers is to double float two horses and put the field in for the remaining two spots. That's the way to go here:

PACATUBA has to go in. She is attracting betting support at the time of publication, having shortened from an opening call of 7/2 to the current price of 5/2. This looks the likely winner of the race. The only concern is that this pricey daughter of Victory Moon has never run at Durbanville, and the track does not suit every horse. Still she is lightly raced, improving, and should be good enough to finish in the top four at worst.

The other horse I am going to include is BELLA AROMA. At 16/1 she is a big price largely due to a very wide draw, which is a major disadvantage at this track and distance. But her running style is to fly up late and she should get the proper early pace to suit.

So, double float 2 and 5 with the field.
