Cheltenham Festival Five Free Tips For Friday - 03-14-08
March 14 - It's been an incredible Festival for us with our Cheltenham Free Tips crushing the bookmakers. We've handicapped six races so far (two others were postponed and will take place later on today) and we've picked four winners out of the six, most of them at fantastic odds.
Today's highlight is undoubtedly the Cheltenham Gold Cup and we'll start with that race, before giving out four more free tips for Friday's card.
Totesport Cheltenham Gold Cup Chase (Grade 1)
Betting Preview: The latest betting makes this a strict two-horse race between the two Nicholls horses. It's Evens about Kauto Star (FR), 5/4 Denman (IRE), and then 10/1 Exotic Dancer (FR), 16/1 Halcon Genelardais (FR), 20/1 Neptune Collonges (FR), and 25/1 and better the rest.
Our Tip: We think Denman is the better of the two, and with all due respect to Ruby Walsh who had the choice and went for Kauto Star he could well be on the wrong 'un today. There isn't a lot of betting value on either horse but if you're going to have a Gold Cup bet take Denman to win.
David Nicholson Mares Hurdle (grade 2)
Latest Betting: 3/1 Chomba Womba (IRE), 7/2 Sweet Kiln (IRE), 5/1 Theatre Girl, 7/1 Labelthou (FR), 7/1 Refinement (IRE), 7/1 Gaspara (FR), 20/1 Whiteoak (IRE), 25/1 and better the rest.
Our Tip: This is a wide open race and we're going to take a punt on a real longshot here. It's an each-way selection because of the big price but Whiteoak is excellent value at the current price of 20s. You heard it here first.
Ballymore Properties Novices' Hurdle (grade 1)

Coral Cup Handicap Hurdle (grade 3)

Latest Betting: 9/2 Carruthers, 5/1 Gone To Lunch (IRE), 11/2 The Tother One (IRE), 6/1 Lodge Lane (IRE), 8/1 Uncle Junior (IRE), 12/1 What A Friend, 14/1 Nenuphar Collonges (FR), 16/1 and better the rest.
Our Tip: You can't do much better than take McCoy in this spot on Gone To Lunch who is our pick to win it from Uncle Junior. An Exacta could be the ticket to have for this race, and slight preference if for Gone To Lunch who is such an honest and consistent individual and should go very well here.
