Archipenko Wins QEII Cup As Our Free Tip - 04-28-08
April 28 - This time last week we gave out a horse racing free tip that showed an incredible profit yesterday when Archipenko won the Audemars Piguet QEII Cup, exactly as we predicted would happen.
For some strange reason the horse went off at gigantic odds of 14/1 on the Hong Kong tote. Obviously the racegoers at Sha Tin don't bother reading our free previews!
Based on his unlucky loss last time out in the Dubai Duty Free there seemed little doubt that Archipenko would make amends and capture the Group 1 race on Sunday. The race was another big success for Mike de Kock, who is having a fantastic season with more to come. Another South African horseman was involved in the win as Archipenko was ridden very well by Kevin Shea.
Balius finished second and had excuses in a very fast run race. Viva Pataca could only manage third as he was left with too much to do at the end.
Archipenko will now be aimed at Royal Ascot and based on this performance should be able to win another Group 1 race this year.
