2010 Equus Awards to be Hosted in South Africa Tonight - 08-12-10
August 12 - Tonight (Thursday, August 12) in Johannesburg, South Africa, the best of the best in the South African horseracing industry will be recognized and celebrated at the 2010 Equus Awards, which should a glittering affair.
Sponsored by Racing South Africa, an organization that represent the interests of South African breeders, owners and operators, the 2010 Equus Awards will honour those horsemen and thoroughbreds that excelled in the past year.
As it does each year, the Equus Awards attracts the who's who of South African horse racing and is a truly nail-biting affair as horsemen and women from all over the country wait with baited breath to see if they'll pick up an award.
The Equus Awards will kick off tonight with the announcement of Champion Two Year Old Filly and continue until the final and most important award, the Horse of the Year, which last year was snatched by top gelding, Pocket Power.
